Gym Flooring for | Your Garage

Join hundreds of homeowners who have converted their dusty dumping ground of a garage into a professionally installed value-added garage gym.

Protect your concrete, reduce noise, and create a stable training surface with rubber flooring built for real garage gyms.
A garage is one of the best places to build a home gym: it’s practical, private, and usually has a solid concrete base that can handle serious kit. The right rubber flooring makes training feel better underfoot, protects the slab from impact, and helps keep the space cleaner and quieter. It also turns a cold, echoey garage into a space that feels like a proper gym — which makes it far more likely you’ll actually use it consistently.
Why garage gym flooring is worth it
  • Protects concrete from dropped weights, heavy equipment feet, and day-to-day wear
  • Improves grip and stability for lifting, conditioning and sled work
  • Helps reduce noise and vibration (especially useful in terraced/semi-detached homes)
  • Makes the space feel warmer underfoot, more finished, and easier to keep tidy
  • Creates a defined training zone so your garage gym stays organised (and doesn’t creep into storage chaos)
Key considerations (garage-specific)
Concrete base (cracks, dips, high spots) Most garages are concrete, which is ideal — but older slabs often have small cracks, dusty surfaces, or slight unevenness. Before you choose your flooring, do a quick check:
  • Walk the area in trainers and see if it feels uneven or “rocky” underfoot
  • Look for cracks, dips, and raised edges
  • Check corners and edges where the slab can be rougher or more worn
If the slab has cracks or feels slightly uneven, we generally recommend choosing at least 20mm flooring as a sensible minimum. Thicker options add more forgiveness, comfort, and protection — especially if you’re lifting heavy.
Dusty or old concrete (sealing recommendation) If your garage floor is very old, chalky, or constantly dusty, it’s worth sealing the concrete before installing your gym flooring.
Sealing helps:
  • Reduce ongoing dust that can work its way up through joins
  • Improve the overall “clean” feel of the space
  • Make maintenance easier long-term
You don’t need to overcomplicate it — the goal is simply to stabilise the surface so it stays clean and consistent underneath your flooring.
Moisture & dust (typical garage reality) Garages can be damp, cold, and dusty — especially in winter. If you want the easiest day-to-day upkeep and a more premium finish, Luxe is a great choice. If budget is the priority and you just want a tough training surface that performs, Classic is the best-value option. If your garage is a high-end conversion and you want a standout look, Designer gives you unique visual effects for a premium finish.
Noise & vibration (neighbours, early mornings, shared walls) If you train early/late, have a bedroom above the garage, or share walls with neighbours, noise reduction matters. Rubber flooring helps, and in general:
  • More thickness = better vibration reduction
  • A stable, well-fitted layout helps reduce “rattle” and movement
  • Planning a dedicated lifting area can make a big difference if you do heavy barbell work
Coverage (plan your training zone properly) Measure the full usable area, including walkways, storage access, and the footprint of racks/benches. Many people don’t need to cover the entire garage — just the training zone — but it’s worth planning it properly so you’re not constantly stepping on/off the flooring mid-session.
Temperature & comfort Garages can be cold. Rubber flooring adds comfort underfoot and makes the space feel less harsh, especially for warm-ups, mobility work, and general training where you’re moving around the floor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers!

What’s the difference between Classic, Luxe and Designer?

Classic is our best-value range. Luxe is a premium range with a finish that’s easier to maintain. Designer series is for unique, high-end visual effects and standout spaces.

What warranty do you offer?

We offer a 3-year warranty. With normal use, we guarantee that after 3 years your flooring will still be doing its job: protecting your floor and your weights.

How quickly do you dispatch and deliver?

We dispatch within 1 working day. Delivery is typically 2–4 days. We’ll give you a heads-up and call to check a delivery time that works for you.

What thickness do I need?

It depends on how you train and what equipment you’re using. 20mm is our most popular seller. Heavier lifting and higher impact generally benefit from thicker flooring for better protection and noise reduction. If you’re unsure, use the calculator and share your kit list and we’ll recommend the best fit.

How do I choose the right flooring for my space?

Start with how you train (lifting vs general fitness), how “finished” you want the space to look, and how easy you want it to be to maintain. Use the calculator to confirm your area, then choose the range that fits your budget and the finish you want.

How do I measure my space?

Measure the length and width of the area you want to cover (in metres), then use the calculator to work out total m². Include walkways and the footprint of any equipment you’ll keep in place. Or use our calculator tool.

Can I install gym flooring myself?

Yes, most customers install it themselves. The key is a clean, dry, reasonably level base and taking time to plan your layout before you start. We are also happy to install.

Is gym flooring easy to clean and maintain?

Yes. Regular sweeping/vacuuming keeps dust and grit down, and an occasional mop with a mild cleaner is usually all you need. If easy day-to-day upkeep is a priority, Luxe is the best choice.
