Gym Flooring for | Your PT Studio

Join hundreds of homeowners who have converted their dusty dumping ground of a garage into a professionally installed value-added garage gym.

Create a professional, hard-wearing training space with rubber flooring that protects your base, reduces noise, and stands up to daily use from clients.
A PT studio needs flooring that looks the part and performs under pressure. You want a surface that feels stable for lifting and conditioning, is easy to clean between sessions, and holds up to constant footfall, moving kit, and repeated impact. The right gym flooring also helps with acoustics, protects the subfloor, and gives your studio a premium, professional finish that clients notice immediately.
Why PT studio flooring is worth it
  • Protects the subfloor from heavy equipment and repeated impact
  • Improves grip and stability for lifting, conditioning and functional training
  • Helps reduce noise and vibration (important in shared buildings and mixed-use units)
  • Creates a clean, professional look that builds trust with clients
  • Easier day-to-day cleaning between sessions and at the end of the day
Key considerations (PT studio-specific)
Daily footfall and durability Studios see consistent use: sled pushes, dumbbell drops, circuits, and people moving kit all day. Choose a flooring option that’s built for high traffic and won’t quickly look tired. A premium finish can be worth it here because it keeps the space looking “new” for longer.
Cleaning and hygiene (client-facing space) In a PT studio, maintenance matters. You’ll want flooring that’s easy to sweep/vacuum and quick to mop, especially if you run back-to-back sessions. If easy upkeep and a sharper finish are priorities, Luxe is often the best fit. Designer is ideal if you want a standout look that matches a high-end brand.
Noise and neighbours (shared units) If you’re in a unit with neighbouring businesses, flats above, or other tenants nearby, noise control is a big deal. Rubber flooring helps reduce vibration and clatter. In general:
  • more thickness = better noise reduction
  • stable joins and good coverage reduce movement and rattling
  • consider a dedicated lifting zone if you do heavy barbell work
Subfloor and level (avoid trip hazards and rocking kit) Studios need a stable, level surface for safety and for equipment to sit properly. Before installing, check for cracks, dips, thresholds and uneven patches. If the floor is slightly uneven or you’re placing heavy kit, thicker flooring is usually the safer choice for stability and protection.
Brand and finish (how you want the studio to feel) Your flooring is one of the biggest visual elements in the space. It sets the tone the moment someone walks in.
  • Classic: best value and tough, practical performance
  • Luxe: premium finish that’s easier to maintain — ideal for studios that need to look sharp every day
  • Designer: unique, high-end visual effects for studios that want a standout, premium aesthetic
Coverage and layout (trainability first) Measure the full training zone including walkways, storage, and the space around key stations (rack, dumbbells, cardio). A well-planned layout improves session flow and keeps the studio looking organised.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We’ve got answers!

What’s the difference between Classic, Luxe and Designer?

Classic is our best-value range. Luxe is a premium range with a finish that’s easier to maintain. Designer series is for unique, high-end visual effects and standout spaces.

What warranty do you offer?

We offer a 3-year warranty. With normal use, we guarantee that after 3 years your flooring will still be doing its job: protecting your floor and your weights.

How quickly do you dispatch and deliver?

We dispatch within 1 working day. Delivery is typically 2–4 days. We’ll give you a heads-up and call to check a delivery time that works for you.

What thickness do I need?

It depends on how you train and what equipment you’re using. 20mm is our most popular seller. Heavier lifting and higher impact generally benefit from thicker flooring for better protection and noise reduction. If you’re unsure, use the calculator and share your kit list and we’ll recommend the best fit.

How do I choose the right flooring for my space?

Start with how you train (lifting vs general fitness), how “finished” you want the space to look, and how easy you want it to be to maintain. Use the calculator to confirm your area, then choose the range that fits your budget and the finish you want.

How do I measure my space?

Measure the length and width of the area you want to cover (in metres), then use the calculator to work out total m². Include walkways and the footprint of any equipment you’ll keep in place. Or use our calculator tool.

Can I install gym flooring myself?

Yes, most customers install it themselves. The key is a clean, dry, reasonably level base and taking time to plan your layout before you start. We are also happy to install.

Is gym flooring easy to clean and maintain?

Yes. Regular sweeping/vacuuming keeps dust and grit down, and an occasional mop with a mild cleaner is usually all you need. If easy day-to-day upkeep is a priority, Luxe is the best choice.
